Carracastle Pubs

In the 1920’s there used to be 3 pubs at Carracastle, one owned by the Regans (Gannons), Ridgestones and the one still there in 2013 called Davy’s.

Davy’s owned and rented to the Office of the English Army (RIC) the barracks next door.  These were apparently the Royal Irish Constabulary Barracks. Davy's Pub on your Left as you head towards Lissymulgee Road, Carracastle

  1. Hello, just came across your webpage while googling Carracastle. The three pubs were Regans (Gannons), Richardsons and Davys. Davy’s was not run by the RIC but they did own the barracks next door and rented it to the RIC. The barracks was not a British Army Barracks but a Royal Irish Constabulary Barracks.
